The Lester Public Library is currently only looking for volunteers for the following positions.  If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please fill out an application at the RSVP Volunteer Center and refer to one of the jobs below.

Shelf Straightening

Volunteers are needed to straighten materials on the library shelves.  Volunteers are asked to do some light dusting as well.  Lifting, reaching, bending and kneeling are required for this job.  Time frame is flexible and can include day, night and weekend hours.

Newspaper Indexing

Volunteers are needed to read through back issues of the Herald Times Reporter on microfilm and create index cards for each death, marriage, and birth.  These index cards will be used for genealogy purposes.  Must have good hand-writing and excellent attention to detail.

No experience necessary, we will train you.  Time commitment is flexible.
