Who can obtain a library card?
Any individual can apply for a card at the Lester Public Library. A photo identification card, preferably a Driver's License, is needed to receive a library card.  If it does not have the current address a tax receipt, utility bill, or checkbook may be used for verification. You may print out an
application to fill out beforehand or pick one up at the library.  (top)

Can I use my Manitowoc Card at this library?
Yes, we accept Manitowoc, Brillion, Kiel, Chilton, and New Holstein library cards to check out materials at the Lester Public Library.  A Lester Public Library card may also be used at these libraries. (top)

I don't live in Wisconsin, but I'm visiting for a while can I take out books?
Yes, people from out of state must have a driver's license with their correct permanent address to apply for a card.  For long term visitors, a local address can also be added so that pick-up and overdue notices will be sent to the local address.   (top)

I don't drive and the bills at my apartment do not come to me; can I get a card?
Yes, if no proof of address can be shown, we will mail the card to you.  When you bring in your card for the first time we will then activate it.  You will not be allowed to check out materials until the card is activated. (top)
